Hello! I'm Carlyn
I'm 23 years old and from Pell City, AL. After graduating from high school in 2015, I moved to Auburn, AL and attended Southern Union State Community College. I shortly realized that my childhood dream of becoming a Pharmacist was not the right fit for me. I decided to start from scratch and find my true passion in life. Once I realized that I wanted to be an Electrical Engineer, I couldn't believe I had not known all along. Even though I knew starting a new major would put me behind, I knew it's what I had to do. In Fall of 2018 I transferred to Auburn University to start my new journey of becoming an Electrical Engineer. In Summer of 2019, I started my Cooperative Education position at Cornerstone Detention Products in Montgomery, AL. They are the leading provider of engineered detention products and integrated security systems for the jail and prison industry. Working one-on-one with the engineers, I feel I received an exceptional amount of experience and knowledge. After working over the summer I ended up staying and working part time in the fall while I was taking classes at Auburn. In the Fall of 2020, I finished my final rotation with Cornerstone. Though I am sad that the experience is over, I am excited to be back to classes full time with the intent of graduating in December 2021.
On a more personal note, here are a few more random things about me. I have the two cutest dogs in the world (no bias here). Annabell is my 5 year old beagle, and Cassius is my 6 month old boxer. I am a busybody who can’t sit still, so I am always working on something. I like keeping things clean and organized, working on home improvements, and being crafty. I enjoy music of most all genres and light hearted tv series. Other than that, I love spending time with my friends, and visiting family often. My parents live on Logan Martin Lake so I like to spend summer out on the water. When it comes to wintertime, I enjoy being cozy indoors because I am always cold. Above all, I am a follower of Jesus Christ and attend Auburn Community Church.
